Explanation of the shop floor working/ processes

The explanation of the shop floor process starts from the very inception of the order of the products by the customer. Once the products are manufactured they need to be dispatched to the customer and the final delivery of the product involves quite a consumption of resources. The amount of work done by the employees, worker output, wastage and utilization of resources needs to be analyzed using the process. The wastage of the raw material and final product in its handling from the manufacturing phase to final dispatch to the customer must be done. The shop floor process must take care of all of that.


2. Shop floor data collection system: The system must be such that it is able to take all details about the on goings of the organization and the amounts of time spend by each worker in the process of manufacturing, selling, logistics, warehousing and dispatch of final products. The amount of goods sold and dispatched in right condition is also analyzed by the system. It updates the inventory stock and updates costing. It also recalculates the balance at run time to assess the quantity of products. It would automatically update the master production scheduling module.

It would help BLL to optimize operations and achieve supply chain visibility to improve accuracy, material availability, decision making and correct reporting of warehouse operations. It furthermore improves the management of the inventory thereby accelerating turnover and reduced errors. The return on investment can be improved greatly with improved labor and equipment efficiency. All the business operations could be handled using the software itself which can encompass the organization in itself.
